3. Fundamental Integration -> Justification & Sanctification -> Justification - Teachings Today

Justification -- Imputation
We here discuss the three main teaching groups in detail, the Apostolic, Calvinist, and Dispensational
Imputation (accounted) Righteous (right-related to Holy God) by Justification (to make Righteous)
Holiness =Sanctification (to make Holy)

Does God wait for a person himself to become related to Him through a work, before the person is declared Justified (made Righteous) by God at new-birth? Yes or No ?

I. Apostolic and Historic True Believers since Christ, say "YES !"  "Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, (through God's enlightenment of them by Holy Spirit to use their choice)  that ye believe (should continuously by your choice, present active subjunctive) on Him whom He hath sent" (Jn 6:28-29).   "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and remove they candlestick out of his place, except thou repent" Rev 2:5).   "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent (present active imperative) ye, and believe (present active imperative) the gospel" (Mark 1:15).   Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden retaining the "right of choice," lest they eat of the Tree of Life.  Lost man's right of choice is the pivot upon which all the God's planned Restoration of man to God's Kingdom rule residues.  Whether we end in Heaven or hell for Eternity is entirely man's choice.

To you who repent and believe
(commit to Him as your resurrected Lord), your sins and sinful flesh nature are imputed by God's accounting (imputed, first, Rom 4:8 and 2 Cor 5:19) as REMOVED in Christ's shed blood and Death of His sinless flesh nature; TO a right-relationship to God is accounted (imputed, second, Rom 4:24; 5:10, and 6:11) as in His resurrection of Life.  By these first two imputations, sin and sinful flesh nature is no longer accounted (imputed) to us. See important
footnote.9

Thereby, THEN, as restored clean new vessels, He Justly gives (IMPARTS, not imputes) faith to us and other fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit of Himself, indwelling our renewed cleaned spirits and souls in our birth-from-above. This indwelling Presence of the Mind of Christ (faith) in our spirits is then accounted (imputed, third, Rom 4:5-6, 11-12) to us for (eis, for the purpose or result of) RIGHTEOUSNESS (Rom 4:13-25 and 5:13-21) to us.   Only by having Righteousness and Holiness within ourselves can we have any kind or type of relationship with the Holy and Righteous Father or Son.  This is why Christ had to come to earth incarnate in the likeness of sinful flesh nature of man to RESTORE us back to Himself.

The Greek word translated impute simply means "to account, to reckon," and nothing else.  Impute does not imply transfer of any moral character from Christ to us.  We are accounted Righteous because of Christ Himself being within us, nothing of ourselves (Eph 2:8). This is scriptural imputation in its entirety.4   Must read footnote, please.
4

Please notice from careful reading of the above last THREE paragraphs, the death and resurrection of Christ, are accounted (imputed) as a provision to us (who are continuously repenting and committing to Lord Jesus Christ) for a right relationship to God.    That the Righteousness of Christ Himself (sitting in Heaven) is imputed to us is NOT found in the Bible.  His Righteousness is His Righteousness, Eternal God's Righteousness.   There is no such thing as transfer of God's Attributes in scripture.  God does not play "as if" games.

At this time
, our Righteousness is "imparted" to us (not imputed) through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of Christ Himself in us (Faith), to whom our obedience is now required.  Called the obedience of faith (Rom 1:5 and 16:26).  The righteousness of God is then imputed (accounted) to us, AFTER the "imparted" indwelling Faith (indwelling Holy Spirit Mind of Christ in our own spirit), Rom 4:5 and 11-12-22, just as it was to Abraham, "through faith" alone, at this time.  You must see footnote.
8

In the scripture, "through (dia in genitive case means, through an agent) faith," means faith is the agent through which righteousness is "imparted" to us.  By putting our flesh natures and sins in His grave and then rising from His grave, He Justly imputes His death and imputes His resurrection sinless Life to us.  THEN to our cleansed spirit, soul, and body (through His death and His resurrection, both imputed to us), He can JUSTLY enter to dwell in us HIMSELF (imparting His Righteousness), and, thereby, He may also JUSTLY account (impute, account) us as righteous in (ev, inside) Himself.   All three imputation (accountings) are simply "all in Christ Himself."   There is no transfer of any Attribute of God in scripture.

All our Justification (making Righteous) is through Christ Himself Personally doing it, while His Father just watched in pleasure, and His Angels in wonderment.  And all dependent upon His Personal Death (taking our sinful flesh natures to His grave) and His Personal Resurrection (rising in New Life) and then Personally Indwelling us, who by our choice (active voice in Greek) continuously repent and commit (putting ourselves under his orders) our new Living to His Lordship..

"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people" (2 Cor 6:16).
Without what He accomplished for us-and-Indwelling us, to guide, gift, assure, teach, and empower us, our salvation could not possibly be JUSTLY accomplished, right-related to all God's Attributes (Love, Truth, Holiness, and Wisdom).

"To declare , I say, at this time His Righteousness: that He might be Just (Righteous), and the Justifier (present active participle. one who is making Righteous) him out from (ek) Faith of Jesus. (Rom 3:26).
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by (dia, through) the Law of Faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is Justified (is being made Righteous, pres. passive, inf.) by  (dative) Faith, without the deeds of the Law" (Rom 3:26-29).
Just think, if faith is just a person's believing something, trusting, or making a mental notation, then this whole perfect plan of Redemption (Restoration of Righteousness of man on earth, all, in every way, by Christ Himself) cannot be possible.  And what does "believe" mean if not for us "to commit" to His Lordship within us.  Christ said the Kingdom (rule) of God is within you (Luke 17:21).   Calvinists and Dispensationalists deny these truths.    See Believing vs New Age Believing.

When one understands this Perfection of our Restoration to Fellowship with our Great Creator God, our eyes can only fill with tears at our God's great Perfection and Wisdom in pure Holiness, Righteousness, Truth, and Love.  What a Plan!! from before the foundation of the world !! Truly beyond man's comprehension......our Justification=to make us righteous, right-related to God!!  And this plan of God before the foundation of the world for our Restoration was a mystery of God all through the OT until after Christ's resurrection.
1 Cor 2:6-13
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The eternal Righteousness of God Himself is safeguarded in Christ until our final adoption as His children, as Sons of God, is finally accomplished in Heaven, after we are rid of our flesh natures.  For God to impart Eternal Life sonship to a creature on this earth with a sinful nature would mean He creates a half-God and half-devil with Eternal Life creation.   "No way !!"  But He by His death (of flesh nature) and resurrection (in Spiritual newness of Life) provides to us a means to live apart from our sinful natures and to Live serving the Law of God by His Spirit provided to us (Rom 7:25 to 8:14).

The Bible does not teach this grotesque blasphemy of and innocent Christ suffering the Penalty of mankind's sins under the Wrath of His Father.  This would not provide any means for us to Live Holy and Righteous Live now and in Eternity.   God does not play foolish "as if righteous" games as the apostate Calvinist and modern cult "grace" regardless Dispensationalist doctorates of Dallas Theological Cemetery think (includes all the Reformed--Presbyterian, Lutheran, Calvinist, Anglican, Episcopal--and most all Baptist, Pentecostal, Assembly of God, Plymouth Brethren, Word-of faith, etc).

Nor did the Heavenly Father put His Holy Wrath upon His innocent Holy Son, making Him passively suffer and become our sins, as all these unscriptural blasphemers say.  See the Aricles in the Section, "Atonement."  Start with By
God's Attributes for full explanations.   There is NOT ONE scripture saying Christ was the object of God's WrathNOR that Christ was punished for our sins on the cross, NOR that He paid for our sins or was a payment for sinsNOR that he died to remove our guilt.  The scriptures do say that He suffered death (1 Pet 3:18) in our behalf, and that He paid the price (1 Cor 6:20 and 7:23), the release provided (lutron, "release provided," or ransom in KJV, Matt 20:28; Mark 10:45: and 1 Tim 2:6)) in the place of us, doing what we could not do, that we could be restored to Fellowship as His obedient servants through  Faith (His indwelling Mind provided to those who want it).

Not to be overlooked: Faith is indwelling Holy Spirit of Christ Himself in us.  Period.  Faith is both a fruit of (genitive, belonging to) the Holy Spirit and can be one of the special gifts of (genitive, belonging to) the Holy Spirit of Christ indwelling us.  Faith is nothing of man.

Faith is not a trust or believing of man.  Faith is the indwelling Mind of Christ within us, received at our birth-from-above.  It is this indwelling leading and teaching Mind of Christ (faith) that we are to be obedient to for eternity.  "The righeous (through the righteousness of faith, Rom 4:13) shall Live by (dia, through) faith."   "Whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Rom 14:23)."

Faith is not anything of man.
"By grace ye are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God (Himself).....unto (epi, dative, in regard to, "in the way of") good works."(Eph 2:8-10)."  Child simple.

Our Lord's sinless dying on the cross and in His resurrection provided for the total renewal of all mankind as clean vessels fit for His Presence by imputation, for those who would repent and commit to His Lordship and fellowship for eternity.  Then he imparts His indwelling Living righteous and Holy Life.

He first cleans the vessel by his Death and Resurrection, then fills it with Himself.
This is the experience of our Birth-from-above.   We are then immediately "accounted" Righteous only because of the indwelling Mind of Christ (Faith), of Righteousnes Himself in us.   And our walk is to be forever in obedience to our Holy Righteous Lord indwelling us.  There is no mystical fictional transfer of moral character to us at all.  Our Righteousness is only of our indwelling Righteous Lord in us, to RESTORE to us NOW His Fellowship Life and guidance to save us from the Wrath to come.
Rom 5:8-11   But God commendeth His Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified (made right-related, righteous) by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by HIS Life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have NOW received the atonement (restoration).
Col 1:27  "Christ in (ev, inside) you, the hope (expectation, not a wish) of Glory (Spiritual Perfection)."

The provision for us through Christ's Death and Resurrection to be rightly-related by God's Righteousness in us is what is imputed to us NOW who repent and believe (commit) in first obedience to the gospel command.  Then we are given faith of the Holy Spirit as it is provided to us by the imparted (not imputed) indwelling of the Holy Spirit of Christ, the Mind of Christ (faith), to Whom we are to be obedient for eternity.   Paul called it "for the obedience of faith" as the opening and closing words to the Book of Romans (Rom 1:5 and 16:26).

There is NO scripture that says that we have the personal Righteousness of Christ Himself imputed (accounted) to us, while it is reserved in Heaven as He sits there.   There is NO scripture that says Christ's obedience to the moral Law is imputed to any man.4   Impute does NOT mean transfer.  It simply means accounted.    Our sinless Lord came to suffer and die and be resurrected to justly and actually restore (At-one-ment) us to Himself and His Father in factual Truth and Holiness.

This is not a fictional "as if" play-acting bookkeeping (or "seen as if") Righteousness and Holiness is accounted in Heaven as a bookkeeping entry to be actually received after you die, but an actual fact RESTORATION provided by Christ Himself and, imparted, in (evChrist Himself, in our present Living ON EARTH.   "The Lord our Righteousness" (Jer 23:6).    Our Creator does not play "as if" pretend games as most mid-evil theologians preferred.
1 Cor 1:30   But of Him are ye in (ev) Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us Wisdom, and Righteousness, and Holiness, and Restoration (629, apolutrosis, releasing restoration):
Child simple.

Our true, factual actual, Righteousness is, imparted, only in (ev, inside) Jesus Christ as He indwells us NOW.   Praise His Holy Name, Lord Jesus Christ.     Likewise, we only have Eternal Life as He Himself, Who is Eternal Life, and if He is indwelling us.

Our Righteousness and Holiness is only within Jesus Christ Himself as He is indwelling us, just as Eternal Life is only very partially at this time experienced as He Himself is experienced within us and through us.  Therefore, it is said, God has "given the earnest (down payment) of the Spirit in our hearts" (2 Cor 1:22).

He who brags that he, himself, now possesses
Eternal Life
is like a proud fool  (Prov 18:2) and does not understand the scriptures nor himself.  Since the Garden of Eden, Eternal Life is safeguarded within Christ Himself.  "Christ in (ev) you, our hope (expectation, not a wish) of Glory" (Col 1:27 and 1 Jn 3:2-3)

However, Rightousness, is in fact actually accomplished (imparted not imputed) into our spirits by Christ Indwelling us with His OWN indwelling Righteous Presence and Eternal Life in our spirits NOW,5  called Baptism of (or in, ev) the Holy Spirit (see footnote 3)   at our Birth-from-above, when Christ Himself begins dwelling in each of us.

This new indwelling Birth Life brings us, as entirely new creations, into immediate Fellowship with God through Christ His Son in us, the hope of the Spiritual perfection of God, and we are to walk obediently in conformity to His directing us from within our regenerated Spirits.  The victorious answer is now enshrined in Rom 5:10, 7:25, and 8:1-16.    "The just (righteous) shall Live by faith."  "Whatsoever, is not of faith is sin" (Rom 14:23).       Selah.

The scriptures are very explanatory.

Gal 3:22-29
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto  (eis, "for result of") Christ, that we might be justified (might be made righteous, aorist pass. subjunctive) by (ek, "out from") faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by (dia, genitive, "through") faith in (ev, "inside of") Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Rom 4:13
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Rom 4:22-23
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

Rom 5:1
Therefore being justified (made righteous) by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
If, in fact, a person through the Holy Spirit's enlightenment repents (rejects his sinful self-serving) and believes (commits)  to Christ's Lordship, he is then Born-from-above and receives the gift of Faith (Christ's Mind), Love, Joy, Peace, etc, of the Holy Spirit entering Him, a sequence clearly taught by the scriptures.  By the Holy Spirit of Christ thus entering him, he now becomes enabled to experience, by God's Wisdom, the multiple Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22-23) and Gifts of the Holy Spirit within him, which a natural man cannot understand nor experience.

He is then a totally new creation (2 Cor 5:21).  He is no longer a filthy dead mud stature of a flesh nature selfish sinful man; he is instantaneously transformed into a totally Righteous second-man in (ev) Christ, through the "complete" Atonement (Restoration) provided to him by his confessed Lord Jesus Christ, Who died and rose again for his Restoration to Sonship NOW beginning on the earth.

Later in this new born's regenerated experience when he or she experiences one or more Gifts of the Holy
Spirit, they may think they were just then given a gift by the Holy Spirit, but in actuality by the wisdom of God he or she was only allowed to experience this manifestation of the Holy Spirit which has been indwelling them all along.

It is not as though they now also as their own possession have a Gift that they may exercise whenever they wish.  It is a gift that only belongs to the Holy Spirit, is administered by and operated by only the Holy Spirit within us (1 Cor 12:4-8), as we are obediently walking in His Faith telling us when to apply this Gift and how to apply it as He wishes.

Again, anyone who thinks he or she possesses
at this time a gift
from the Holy Spirit to use as he pleases, instead of a gift of the Holy Spirit to be directed by the Holy Spirit (Faith), is functioning like a proud ignorant who does not understand the scriptures, nor walking by the Faith of Christ within him.   If, indeed, he is Born of the Holy Spirit at all.

The dead mud statue (self-serving flesh nature) is completely irradicated in Christ's death removing it, destroying it.  The mud statue is instantaneously replaced by a perfect Righteous Living image of His risen Lord in righteousness with fellowship to His Heavenly Father now restored effectively within us.

Additionally, this NEW instantaneous figure of the SECOND MAN, Christ Himself indwelling us; this imputed righteous stature is also "in the present" become an instantaneous LIVING Righteous Life of Christ, through Christ's resurrection Life NOW indwelling us, gifting us, and empowering us--NEW CREATIONs NOW, Living images of Christ in His Spirit.

Behold all things have become new--the mud statue is replaced with a Living Live image, yet not of its own ability, it is NOW replaced through Christ's Atonement (Death and resurrection Resoration of Life for us) with a New LIVING active LIVE LIFE, no longer dead
in trespasses and sin, but Living to serve his Heavenly Father.

The new man is now LIVING and now HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, and WALKING IN FELLOWSHIP with his Creator through the indwelling faith of Christ in him.  Because he still has the sin-nature as long as he is in the old man's body, he is warned and enjoined to focus all his mind, soul, and strength to be obedient to His now indwelling Life, the Mind of Christ in his now replaced and Living Spirit, to lead and keep him in the fellowship and oneness with His Heavenly Father, to victoriously shun sin, flesh, and the devil.

Now, Christ in us fulfills the Law, the first and greatest commandment, to Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and the second commandment, like unto the first, to Love our neighbors as (in the same manner as) ourselves (Mark 12:29-31).   As Paul said, we do not make void the Law, we establish the Law (Rom 3:31); and Christ has NOW "condemned (to destruction) sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Rom 8:3-4).   Amen.

Thereby, the scriptures state we are being saved, we are being made Holy (sanctified) in the present time.  No scripture states that we are made Holy in the future, (hagiazo, to make Holy, is never in the future tense; it is perfect tense or present tense NOW ! ).   Those members of His Heavenly Assembly on earth are called hagios, Holy, in the plural or "holies", which is unfortunately translated "saints".

As we someday thankfully, shed our stinking flesh natures, we shall continue in Holiness and Righteousness in the Heavenlies.   For this our spirits groan to be so unburdened.   Behold, NOW, NOW, is the day of salvation.  Salvation is not reserved till after we die, it MUST start NOW IN OUR LIVING NOW ...

Therefore, Salvation is being accomplished by actual Righteousness through the indwelling Faith, Mind of Christ, in us NOW, the Righteous Mind of Christ in us, for Righteousness (right-related "Restoration") to the Father, and Holiness (separated, different from the world), walking as a totally New Creation of God to be obedient to His Will.

This is initial and continuous justification and sanctification required till death takes us to Heaven. We are indwelt by Christ's perfect righteousness, to Live obedient to this perfect righteousness, now indwelling us, to our Heavenly Father's Will. Just as He once walked, so are we to walk.

After our Lord provided all this for us by His Death and Resurrection, he said to His disciples, "Peace be unto you....Peace be unto you, As Father hath sent me, even so send I you" (Jn 20:21).   "I only do My Father's Will" (Jn 6:38). This is not a rehearsal; this is not a delusional dreamer's gratuitous free gift of "grace" guaranteeing Heaven and righteousness in the future; this is real Life to be Lived NOW, or never at all.    "Chose you this day whom you will serve."

Hereby, we are called in scripture, Holy ones or saints, in the ageless Body of His Assembly as living NOW as citizens of Heaven.  And this is the Factual Experienced Spiritual Reality of God and His saints NOW.  We have passed from death to Life, we are no longer sinners in the world, we are His Holy people, purchased with His Loving Death to remove our death to give us His Life anew.  Praise Him All Ye Heavens and saints.  Perfect complete salvation NOW.  This is real Life to be Lived NOW, OR NEVER at all.

Justification (made Righteous, right-related) is clearly because of a New Creation of us provided by Christ's Death and resurrection, united with our Lord Jesus Christ in one Spirit (1 Cor 6:17) NOW on earth; and by the fact of our present spiritual unification with Him, we have access by that one Spirit unto the Father (Eph 2:18), a Holy people, a Royal priesthood, by our Lord's Atonement (restoration) for us to this fellowship.  This justification is imparted to us when we are obedient to the gospel command to repent and believe (commit) on (eis, for the purpose or result of) Lord Jesus Christ.

Sanctification
(made Holy) is clearly by our obedience to His indwelling Life, His indwelling Mind (faith), directing us and providing all Spiritual needs to us in Christ Jesus in us.   He, indwelling Jesus by our Father, is then "made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption (release from sin and  sinning)" (1 Cor 1:30).

Jesus with the Father made all this possible for us in His Atonement, in His Death for us (our death put away in His Death) and Resurrection Life (His Life) placed in us. It is HIS LIFE for our DEATH transaction, in actual fact NOW available to every person who wants it.  It is to "whosoever will" through repentance and commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ.  No one will be in hell who does not choose to be there.

The Holy verbally inerrant Greek scriptures (TR) give us God's written Words. The indwelling Holy Spirit mind of Christ in us (faith) guides us and teaches us all things as we are obedient to Him in our minds, serving Him with all our hearts-the first commandment.  Christ indwelling us, as new creations, is our redemption (restoration), our righteousness, our sanctification, and Wisdom. This is the gospel of our Lord to all men and women. This is His Atoning Justification and Sanctification offered to any who seek Him with all their hearts.  Who will respond?    Sinning now or Eternal Life NOW,
your choice.

Brief Summary.  This is so important

We are saved by grace through faith...to good works (Eph 2:8-10).   Faith is the Holy Spirit Mind of Christ indwelling   you, after you repent and commit yourself to Lord Jesus Christ through the obedience hearing of His Word (Rom 3:22, Gal 3:22, Eph 1:13, Acts 5:32)

Then by your obedience to indwelling faith (Rom 1:5 and 16:26 Rom 8:14 and 16, 2 Cor 13:5, 1 John 3:24, etc), the Holy Spiritgood (agathos, God good) works are produced, as apposed to dead (man) works.  And all men, born-again or not, are impartially judged for salvation for Eternity based upon their deeds, whether dead (kokos) works (no faith) or God-good (agathos) works (through faith, James 2:17).  See Our Eternal Judgment under
Judgment- Good vs evil/sin.

Our Eternal destination is simply due to what we have done with the Grace of God so freely offered to us who would turn from our own ways (repent) and commit to our Lord Jesus Christ's Lordship eternally.  And what is the Grace of God.  Grace of God, God's method of saving us, is, "Christ in you, through your obedience, doing what you cannot do." This is the greatest gift, the grace of God, that God could ever give to us: "Christ in you, the hope (expectation, not wish) of Glory (Spiritual Perfection)" (Col 1:27).

There is no scripture that says our final judgment shall be upon the basis of faith alone.
There is no scripture that says our final judgment shall be based upon "our" own works as acceptable.
Only works produced by obedience to the leading of indwelling Holy Spirit Mind of Christ (faith) are good works, God-good (agathos) works, acceptable to God.    Nothing of man's is "good" and allowable into Heaven.

If all our "accepted" works are dead works (not by Holy Spirit) we go to hell, unless God could grant forgiveness just before moment of death.  Then, at least, one has been obedient in the first work of God (just like the thief on the cross with our Lord), to commit himself to God (John 6:29).

Those who are morally blind and deceived by demons of Calvinism and Dispensationalism   think:
A natural man's believing (knowledge or trust (man's natural "faith." by the satan's dictionary) in a Bible promise or anything else) is same as God's dictionary (Bible) faith
Saved for eternity by grace alone (satanically defined as, "God's unmeritied favor" or "God's riches at Christ's expense.").  Saved by grace alone, without works, through belief, faith = belief,  only, our salvation is totally Unconditional.
Saved totally apart from any works, which would be opposed to a passive knowledge or trust or faith only.
"Isn't grace alone marvelous," they say, "Total unhindered freedom and guaranteed Heaven."
[[  Very, very sad. ]]
