2. Fundamentals vs. New Age -> Fundamentals -> New Age Fundamentalism

New Age Fundamentalism

In this New Age, today, a large number of "so-called" Fundamentalists have apostatized (fallen away) from these three tenants of historic Fundamentalism. These are the New Evangelicals or Contemporary Evangelicals or Liberals today (synonymous terms). The term "evangelical" today has become synonymous with the term "liberal," used years ago to distinguish from "Fundamental."

DEFINITION:   NEW AGE FUNDAMENTALISM holds to the New Age definition of Dispensational salvation teachings, being due to just "trusting" in Jesus as your Saviour only, to forgive you and take you to Heaven when you die.  You may continue to do or believe what you think best.    They maintain a separation from Evangelicalism in its social activism and repudiation of separation in fellowship from false doctrines.  In their unwitting adoption of the Dispensational "grace" regardless apostasy teachings of salvation, one may truly classify them as apostates themselves, despite all their rhetoric and guerrilla dust about separation from false doctrines.

However, many who still call themselves Fundamentalists today, are also simply modern Evangelicals  who even deny the third tenant of separation from apostate doctrines or practices as their distinguishing characteristic.  Many of them also deny the other two tenants and/or are indistinguishable from the heretical "grace" regardless teachers.

Most of those of the "grace" regardless teachers today have denied all three tenants but call themselves Fundamentalists. And many of their doctrines are taught within most so-called Fundamental circles. Indeed, today, most of the scholarly inclined attend the most radical of the "grace" regardless schools, like Dallas Theological Seminary, the origin and center of these apostate doctrines. It is to this "grace" regardless group who still profess to be Fundamentalists that this website is written to expose.

We must understand that today for the first time, those who may call themselves Fundamentalists are really a mixed bag of (1) Evangelicals (fellowship with Roman Catholics, calling the Pope a great Christian brother, and take a compromise position between total liberalism and Fundamentalism), otherwise known by the old name Liberals, (2) some Calvinists and others, many of whom also participate with the Evangelical position above, and (3) New Age Fundamentalists who "think" they are holding to all three tenants, but actual teach the Dispensation "grace" regardless apostate salvation and prophecy doctrines.

UNFORTUNATELY, most Fundamentalists within the group called Fundamentalism have unwittingly accepted many of the "grace" regardless teachings, so we use the appellation, NEW AGE FUNDAMENTALISM. I am sure that real Fundamentalists who truly hold to all three of the tenants of Fundamentalism will dislike the term Fundamentalism applied to these New Age "grace" regardless doctrines. But, unfortunately, who among the so-called Fundamentalists today have rejected all their heretical doctrines?  Certainly less than 1%. Therefore, we must make the classification, NEW AGE FUNDAMENTALISM.

This is why Historical Fundamentalism, from Apostolic times through non-Catholic believers today, hardly exists! Today, most of those who call themselves Fundamentalists cling to one or all of Three Modern Day Apostate Doctrines:

(1) Some form of unconditional eternal security going as far as the New Age "grace" regardless teachers, teaching that salvation cannot be lost despite continual unbelief, sinning, or apostasy. This was never believed by Calvinists or Arminians or non-Catholic Christians since Christ. This is a new age apostasy of the greatest proportion.

Many today who think they are the "real" Fundamentalists, take great pride ignorantly holding to this form of "eternal security" that they think is Historic Fundamentalism.

These Fundamentalists are some of the most deductive thinkers within Fundamentalism who think that their peculiar "eternal security" doctrine is a reason to viciously and violently separate from anyone who in their mind is so depraved as not to believe their false understanding of "eternal security." Although this doctrine is not within the previous historical Fundamental Church, they take it to be a test of Fundamentalism itself.

Additionally, it is more than a passing coincidence, that many of these same deductive thinkers within this New Age Fundamentalism think that the KJV English translation is inerrant and accurate and should not be questioned as to accuracy and authority, refusing any reference to the Textus Recptus from which it was translated. Some of these also violently and with occasional expressions of great hatred express disapproval of anyone who thinks the KJV is in any way could be improved as an English translation.

This aberration of "English" translation inerrancy, also, was never even imagined within Historic Fundamentalism. Although not of such significance as their form of eternal security, it nevertheless highlights the pervasive mentality of these New Age Fundamentalists. They are deductive thinkers, who go beyond the historic doctrines of Fundamentalism into whatever direction their deductive thinking takes them in their zealousness.  Deductive thinkers afflict the Fundamentalists as well as the Ecumenicals.

In regard to this New Age Fundamentalism today, what we have for the first time in history is a New Age Fundamentalism that is either heretical on one end or "somewhat" heretical and excessively  reactionary on the other. The Hegelian dialectic of doctrinal demons is also working wonders within the minds of those who call themselves "Fundamentalists" today. This New Age Fundamentalism is not the Fundamentalism of all non-Catholic brethren since Christ.

It is obvious that the one sine qua non of all false doctrines and practices is deductive thinking; whether those who go beyond in excess of assertions within Fundamentalism itself, or the many assertions of  "Charismaticisms," or those who are blatant apostates against Christ's Lordship and Holiness in salvation like the "grace" regardless or other cults, or Ecumenticals who allow compromise in doctrines and fellowship.

Apostasy is the name, deductive thinking is the game. New Age Fundamentalism is the name; deductive thinking is the game. Do you sense a pattern of iniquity being clearly manifest  in these last days? Its "tall tail" characteristic in the tall grass of doctrines is deductive thinking.  Satan from the beginning works by simply putting untruthful assertions in men's minds.

(2) Dispensationalism with pretrib rapture, also was never believed by Calvinists or Arminians or non-Catholic Christians (Anabaptists, as a general term) since Christ. This strange doctrine was popularized and some say originated by Darby in the 1830's in England. There are three well documented people who wrote otherwise in history, but their exceptions only prove the point. It is from this new invention of Dispensationalism that the heretical "grace" regardless doctrines are derived and came to America in the 1900's. This, being a modern invention,  is denied by Dispensationalists who can sight only three or four unequivocal isolated historical writings, but plainly attested by the many writings of prolific contemporaries at the time, like Charles Spurgeon, Bishop John C. Ryle, Arthur W. Pink, Phillip Mauro and many other respected writers who regarded Dispensations with pretrib rapture as new inventions.

This is what the great prolific Calvinist author, Arthur W. Pink (1886-1952), wrote: "But there is further reason, and a pressing one today, why we should write upon our present subject, and that is to expose the modern and pernicious error of Dispensationalism. This is a device of the Enemy, designed to rob the children of no small part of that bread which their heavenly Father has provided for their souls; a device wherein the wily serpent appears as an angel of light, feigning to "make the Bible a new book" by simplifying much in it which perplexes the spiritually unlearned. It is sad to see how widely successful the devil has been by means of this subtle innovation........ This modern method of mishandling the Scriptures, for modern it certainly is, being quite unknown to Christendom till little more than a century ago, and only within recent years being adopted by those who are outside the narrow circle where it originated."1

Listen to Phillip Mauro, a foremost attorney of the bar of the Supreme Court of the 1920's and prolific Bible scholar, who wrote in 1927: "Through an incident of recent occurrence I was made aware of the extent--far greater than I had imagined--to which the modern system of dispensationalism has found acceptance amongst orthodox Christians; and also of the extent--correspondingly great--to which the recently published "Scofield Bible" (which is the main vehicle of the new system of doctrine referred to) has usurped the place of authority that belongs to God's Bible alone."2

(3) And most pervasively, we now have the redefinitions of historic doctrinal words of scripture by the "grace" regardless teachers, despite their thinking that they are so "orthodox." Dispensationalism, never known in America before the Scofield Bible in 1904 and Dallas Theological Seminary from 1924, made the redefinitions respectable and "orthodox." They have redefined:  God, Christ, Lord, sin, salvation, faith, believe, assurance, repentance, and even what a Christians is.   These redefinitions are plainly detailed in the article, Believing vs New Age Believing, and completely analyzed in the rest of this website.

Pastors were taught these many apostate errors and redefinitions in Bible Schools during the past 80 years and DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER. Unfortunately, they have admittedly not done in-depth questioning and word studies as described in the article, Hermeneutics, as described in this website or they would have learned better. They take solace in the comfort that they have the full Truth in "their understanding" of an English translation. They are Bible School brainwashed and love their scholastic self-reassurance and smugness. As pastors many consider themselves as unquestioned Lords, to rule over the submissive flock (dumb sheep), since the English KJV says "submit" to those who "rule over you" in the Word.

Their understanding of Fundamentalism rests to a great extent on their insistence upon separation from worldly sin and cults (including Catholicism), which so few do today. This is commendable, but they have unknowingly accepted (1) Dispensationalism with pretrib rapture; probably (2) certain forms of eternal security, regardless of behavior or beliefs; and (3) many, many, apostate redefinitions of doctrinal words by the "grace" regardless professors almost universally taught within all our Bible Schools. In this regard, they are NOT Historical Fundamentalists, despite their insistence.

This is why the appellation of NEW AGE FUNDAMENTALISM is appropriate for the dispensational "grace" regardless heretical cult teachings and redefinitions unknowingly accepted within Fundamentalism.
For the most part, professing Christianity today is divided between NEW AGE FUNDAMENTALISM and NEW AGE EVANGELICALISM. Historic Fundamentalism hardly exists.
