Nature of God: The only Moral Self-existent Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Eternal Immutable Spiritual Being, who alone can Create.  A Moral Being, means always being Himself only the Good, Unselfish, Right, Loving, Pure Holiness, Clean, Straight, and Truthful.  Only He possesses, therefore, the Wisdom and Will to cause the most possible Existence of these conditions within His Pervasive Presence, called Life.  This is our Creator.  Being Eternal, He can effect this most possible Moral Existence over many years of time, as a thousand years is but a day to Him. He alone possesses, therefore, Longsuffering, patience (endurance), even Enduring the existence of satan to appear before Him.

He is Holiness, Love, Truth, and Wisdom--His Primary Moral Attributes.   His Moral Law from Moral Attributes are discussed in detail in the following article: "Atonement--Details".  Also see the free eBook, Our Creator God, for an exhaustive coverage of the Attributes of our Creator God in all aspects.

No other being can Annul or Create these moral attributes of existence. All created Spiritual Existence can only Eternally remain in His presence with these Beneficent Character Attributes.   Any created spiritual beings without these Attributes cannot coexist in this God's Beneficent Presence, called LIFE. Any contrary character attributes among His created spiritual beings are called "sin" (selfishness), their action result in an "evil" state, and this opposite existence in sin and evil is called "death" (our present condemnation).  These are all due to penal and Eternal Moral Law in violating God's Attributes.  This immediate "retributive" penal punishment has existed for satan and later Adam and shall always exist for the Eternity of our Moral God and His Attributes.  

This immediate penal punishment, imposed at God's time according to HIS Wisdom, explains why (1) satan and his angels are excluded from future Heaven and any humans also who are disobedient, unrepentant and uncommitted (eis) for purpose or result of His Being, Attributes; and (2) why, speaking to brethren,  "if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear" (1 Peter 1:17).  "The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom," said Job, "and to depart from evil, that is understanding" (Job 28:28).

Therefore, Death (sinful flesh nature and sin) is the reigning condemnation of God's opposite character attribute, which cannot be condoned or even allowed to exist in God's Presence or in any relationship with God.  God's Presence in all His character Attributes is called LIFE; the opposite among His created spiritual creatures is called death (sinful flesh nature and sin).  God told Adam and Eve, "in the day you eat thereof you will die."    This death is forever existent judicial penal Law for all violation of God's Attributes.   This opposite spiritual condition to Life is existential suicide, death, as it involves everything outside these Beneficent moral Attributes of God.   To endeavor any contrary existence or event to these immutable moral characters of universal existence is only madness of rebellious futility, and eternal death, separation from any Beneficence of God.

This is an unthinkable state for God Himself, a state of Death, an experience of being separated from His very Being in Jesus Christ as a Man.   Christ as sinless flesh and soul (Perfect Man), and also being eternal sinless self-existent Eternal Spirit (Perfect God), was suffering a death to His sinless flesh nature and soul (Perfect Man), laying His human Life down while maintaining control and took it up again as Perfect God.  Christ as Perfect God did not die Spiritually.  He died as a Perfect Man only.   As He said, "No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down , and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of My Father" (John 10:18).   God had never experienced this before.  Of such was Gethsemane.

And, when He cried out in His Humanity, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken Me?"  As Perfect Man, he was, at that moment, experiencing a Perfect man's death to vicariously¹ remove our present Spiritual death and separation from our Creator.  And also, He was quoting the fulfillment of the prophetic Psa 22:1.  But His Father who gave Him "commandment to lay down" His own Life "and power to take it up again" (Jn 10:17-18),   also "neither hath He hid His face from Him; but when He cried unto Him, He heard" (Ps 22:24).  At the end of His suffering on the cross, our spiritual death (separation from God) was removed in His Death, and He said "It is finished" (Jn 19:30).   Of such was Calvary.

The watchful Angels of Heaven, in awe observed.  Oh, what a day, that our sins were washed away!  For when our Creator God in His Loving Death for us, removed our existing death of separation from Him, took it to His grave to Justly offer to us His resurrection Life, He Himself Forever justified Himself for eternity and Lovingly offers His hand to you, to lift you to His Heaven, and to walk with Him until He so takes you.  Will you commit yourself to Him, your Atonement (Restoration) for you, and walk with Him in your heart to lead you in all His Ways throughout Eternity?  This is your choice today.   Lord Jesus Christ.  Of such was restoring Resurrection.

After three days and three nights, He rose from the grave of His death and ours, to give to us His indwelling Life restored again to any who turn (reject) from their sin and sins (Repent) and Commit to His Lordship for Eternity, to live by "Obedience of Faith" (Rom 1:5 and 16:26), His indwelling Life united with our spirit, thereafter.  Of such is provided our New-birth, Birth-from-above.

[[[   Of such, God Himself, our Loving Lord Jesus Christ provided our Justification (Righteousness) and Sanctification (Holiness) to us for Eternity ,  all to be experienced NOW, if we choose to Commit our lives to Him.  No man will ever be in eternal hell because of sin.  Jesus Christ provided our Release from sin and Restoration of His Life.  Any person will be in hell because he deliberately and consciously rejects the Truth of His Creator into the secret portals of his heart to be Obedient to Him Who is Life for Eternity.  Or he chooses rather to be guided by his own foolish thoughts and preferences into hell itself, his self chosen destiny.

The devil himself says, "It would be a most terrible thing to be in Heaven if you didn't choose to be there," implying that he offers something better.    God says you will never see or comprehend anything of His Kingdom, if you reject His Just Death-delivered-Salvation, Lovingly offered to you.   You will spend Eternity in fires of hell, irretrievably separated from Him in pain and torment Forever, separated from any comfort or pleasantness of His Presence Forever.     Which will it be for you, the commitment to God, or the rejection by satan.  You cannot serve two masters.  Choose this day whom you will serve.  Repent and commit to the Lord Jesus Christ, or continue on your own broad way serving satan, perhaps, even playing church and "Christian".

Christ HIMSELF ACTIVELY PROVIDED HIMSELF for our Salvation by releasing us from our sinful flesh nature and sins by vicariously taking the EXISTING separation death of our sinful flesh nature and our separating sinful acts , separating us from God, to the grave IN HIS SINLESS FLESH and Sinless shed Blood, to rise again to give us His indwelling SPIRIT Life in Fellowship with Him and the Father NOW in our New Lives.   This is why He came to earth incarnate.

This was a PROVISION FROM CHRIST Himself with His Loving Father by (1) His own Dead body of Sinless flesh nature and shed sinless blood to vicariously remove our sin flesh natures and sinful acts, and (2) to rise again in Restoration of His Life, that He might Justly provide us RESTORATION (redemption) to His Holy Presence and Fellowship starting NOW, here on this earth.    Does anyone want this?    As part of Repenting and Committing to your Lord Jesus, you must reject your sinful flesh nature and sinning to follow your Lord.   This is the Gospel.     Of such was Atonement Provided.  See footnote.¹

This was NOT a pagan appeasement of a wrathful father pouring punishment upon his PASSIVE suffering innocent son as falsely  taught by Roman Catholics and Luther and Calvin and Dispensationalism and nearly all Protestant deceived people today, following the Roman Catholic traditions of men.   This would be morally unjust and ineffective madness.   Nor could this speak anything to our sinful natures left to still continue our separation from any Fellowship or Relationship with the Holy Truth Godhead in our living NOW.     Nor can it be appropriated by simply giving mental affirmation and trust in Jesus as your Savior.   ]]]

There is NOT ONE scripture saying Christ was the object of God's Wrath, NOR that Christ was punished for our sins on the cross, NOR that He paid for our sins or was a payment for sins, NOR that he died to remove our guilt.  The scriptures do say that He suffered death (1 Pet 3:18) in our behalf, and that He paid the price (1 Cor 6:20 and 7:23), the release provided (lutron, "release provided," or ransom in KJV, Matt 20:28; Mark 10:45: and 1 Tim 2:6)) in the place of us, doing what we could not do, that we could be restored to fellowship as His obedient servants through Faith (His indwelling Mind provided to those who want it).

The Penal Substitution Atonement (PSA) teachings of Innocent Pure Christ suffering the Wrath of His Holy Just Father for the sins of the whole world past, present, and future is the satan's (the rebeller) most evil and blasphemous teaching of all his evil doctrines being taught throughout the world today by blinded last days' Pharisees, who go to the satan's tree of knowledge today, called Seminaries (Cemeteries) and Bible Schools (false stories) to act as evil hirelings for money for themselves.   These PSA teachings were introduced into the world for the first time in 1097 AD by a Roman Catholic Archbishop of London, Anselm, in a book he wrote, and this satanic blasphemous teaching was adopted as orthodox doctrine by Luther, Calvin, Scofield, Louis Sperry Chafer (co-founder of Dallas Theological Seminary) teaching modern day totally evil Dispensational allegorical doctrines for the past 250 years in this country and throughout the world.

The Dispensationalists claim they are the only ones taking the scriptures literally for what they plainly say in reading them.  But is a great obvious lie to anyone of a sound mind.  All their teachings are from their allegorical interpretations of all doctrines of all the scriptures.  So much so, that every doctrine of theirs comes from interpreting every scripture as an a spiritual allegory up to any individual's spiritual interpretation of any scripture.  This type of interpreting was introduced by Origen, about 220 AD, and soundly rejected by stable True Christian Doctrinal teachers of that day because no scripture plainly says what they say are their interpretations. 

Our dear Lord by His own volition "Loved us and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor" (Eph 5:2), not as a vile corrupt sinner suffering the wrath of His Holy Just Father for all sinners, past, present, or future. He did not become sin and evil in our place.  He came Incarnate to REMOVE SINFUL FLESH NATURE AND SIN  of mankind by putting them into His Grave, to then be Able to Justly Indwell as Holy God His Resurrection Life Inside us, His then Cleansed Vessels, to Live His Holy and Righteous Life now and through Eternity in His Holy Presence   We were already separated from Him and spiritually dead in sin (Eph 2:5; Col 2:13), but our spiritual death was put away in sinless Christ's Sacrificial Death for us, so that we may be restored in His indwelling Eternal Life now, and expectantly forever, "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the Expectation of the Gospel" (Col 1:23). 

It was His Death for our death transaction, that we might have His Life Justly Provided to us to Live, both now on earth and later in Eternity of Heaven.

The Atonement accomplished by Christ on the cross,with the Father, to remove our spiritual death (separation) from Them, was a provision to restore to man Life again.  It was not a payment by punishment on Christ; this would not have removed our separation in Spiritual death nor have restored us to Fellowship in this life or any other.  There is no decree found in scripture making it so, even in Heaven.   It was a planned provision for our Restoration to the Heavenlies with God in His Life, planned before the foundation of the world.  And by this Provision of Restoration of fallen man, His Attributes of Love, justly overcoming all sin in His Holiness and Justice of Truth and Wisdom, He shall be Eternally Praised. 

This was the unfathomable experience and provision of Christ on the cross. This is exactly the experience that our Infinite Triune God Himself Lovingly put Himself in, in order to vicariously¹ and Justly, and totally effectively in our present reality. to remove our immutable death (condemnation), our separation from Him: giving to death His sinless Body nature (flesh, symbolized as "Bread") to remove our body (flesh) nature of sin, and also His sinless blood (symbolized as "drink") to cover our sins.  "To declare , I say, at this time His Righteousness: that He might be Just (Righteous), and the Justifier (present active participle. one who is making Righteous by His Choice) him out from (ek) Faith (Christ inside us) of Jesus." (Rom 3:26).

Our Lord said,

"I am the living bread which came down (aorist) from heaven: if any man may eat (aorist active subjunctive) of this bread, he shall live (future active indicative) for ever: and the bread that I will give (future active indicative) is (present active indicative) My flesh, for (huper, on behalf of) the Life of the world" (John 6:51).

"Then Jesus said unto them (notice the present NOW tenses used), Verily, verily, I am saying unto you, Except ye eat (aorist active--acting for yourself, subjunctive--possibility) the flesh of the Son of man, and  drink (aorist active--acting for yourself, subjunctive--possibility) His blood, ye are having (present--NOW, active--acting for yourself, indicative--in NOW reality) no Life in (ev, inside of) you.   Whoso is eating (present active participle) My flesh, and is drinking (present active participle) My blood, is having (present--NOW, active--acting for yourself, indicative--in NOW reality) Eternal Life; and I will raise (future active indicative) him up at the last day.  For My flesh is being (present active indicative) meat indeed, and My blood is being (present active indicative) drink indeed.

He that is eating My flesh, and is drinking My blood, is dwelling in (ev, inside of) Me, and I in (ev, inside of) him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I am Living (present active indicative) by (dia--accus, because of ) the Father: so (kai, and) he that is eating (present active participle) Me, even he shall be living by (dia--accus, because of) Me" (John 6:53-57).

After His resurrection, He said, "As my Father hath sent (perfect--done in past yet also now present, active,   indicative--in reality) Me, even so send (present--NOW, active, indicative--in present NOW reality) I you.  And when  He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive (aorist--do at indefinite time, active--acting for yourself, imperative--command) ye the Holy Ghost" (John 20:21-22).

Rom 8:3 says, " For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh (speaking categorically of "the" specific sinful flesh nature of all men), God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for (epi, concerning) sin, condemned (katakrino, to condemn to destruction) (teen, the ) sin in (ev, inside) the flesh (nature)." 

"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.   For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but IF ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall Live.   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Rom 8:12-14).

Christ Himself did this for us (huper, in behalf of  ); nothing was done to Him as us, or place of us (anti), as in an unjust punishment upon sinless Jesus by His Father.  On the cross Jesus Christ Himself destroyed our death to give us His sinless Life, justly, in pure Love for all the world of mankind. 

"For God (houto, in such a manner, not "so" much) Loved the world, that he gave (aorist--one time in past, active--acting Himself, indicative--in reality) His only begotten Son (clearly means 'risen Christ', see Acts 13:33) that 'all'-(pas)-who (double nominative--emphasizes "all who" literally, without distinction) are committing (lemma pisteuo, present--continuously NOW, active--subject doing the action, participle--verb used as a substantive) for the result or purpose of (eis) Him may not perish (aorist--one time, middle-person acting on own behalf, subjunctive-possibility, but with 'not' becomes a subjunctive of prohibition, a definitely 'not') but (alla, but certainly--contrasting two truths or aversive statements) may be having (present--continuously in NOW time, active--person doing the acting, subjunctive--possibility)  everlasting Life" (John 3:16).    Notice, carefully, twice it says salvatiion is to those "continously committing of one's own volition."

"As God and Man, He was a prepared offering.  He offered His sinless Body and His sinless Blood as God.  He did not die as a man. He died as a God-Man: hence, efficacy in Atonement by the hypostatical union of sinless Divinity and sinless humanity.  The Atonement is thus grounded in the Person of Jesus Christ, not a fictional unscriptural external decree.  A fictional Penal satisfaction atonement is grounded in punishment and a fictional decree, both fictional assertions to justify external righteousness and eternal security of the continuing wilful rebellious sinner."  (This paragraph is a very loose paraphrase taken from Greek Grammar and Syntax verses Calvinism, by M.L. Lavender)

John Calvin states: 'If Christ had merely died a corporeal [bodily] death, no end would have been accomplished by it; it was requisite, also, that he should feel the severity of the Divine vengeance, in order to appease the wrath of God, and satisfy his justice.  Hence it was necessary for him to contend with the powers of hell and the horror of eternal death.'" (Institutes 2.16.10)  [[ In other words, He died spiritually also. ]]

[[  From this astounding quote of Calvin, we can also easily see the seeds of the demonic heretical "word of faith" teachers today, teaching that Christ had to suffer torment and torture by satan in hell; as though satan ever rules hell.  Amazing!  Also, primitive Gnostic Calvinism is the leaven of the modern apostate gospel today within the so-called Fundamental and Evangelical "c"hristendom today, teaching an "eternal security" of the continuing willful sinner, only later made righteous after his death; and he, a continuing deliberate sinner, is taken into our Lord's Holy Heaven.  This is demonic blashemy masquerading as primitive Gnostic Calvinist and modern "grace" regardless scholarship.  ]]

His reconciliation of us to Himself could not possibly be accomplished by taking a penal substitute punishment upon Himself in our place.  This would accomplish nothing, because the very existence nature of this sinning man would not be changed, nor all sins be justly provided for removal. satan could have nor would have any part in this.  Infinite Eternal Christ as also Perfect Man (becoming our Kinsman Redeemer of OT scriptures), by suffering an unthinkable Death, could only then justly account His Death as the death of all sinful men who only, by His Holy Spirit enlightenment, could repent (choose to turn from their sin) and commit their existence to His existence, Life Eternal, Himself.  God has to respect human choice, as this is an existence Attribute by Love to all His Moral Spiritual creations. Thus to all sinners who so choose, He gives them His Holy Eternal Life Spirit, His indwelling mind (faith), to lead them and gently teach them His Loving ways.

This is called the Atonement, the At-one-ment, reconciliation, to our Creator God Eternal and Immutable. Our death removed, His Life regained. Jesus Christ, the last Adam, the second "sinless" Man for all Eternity. 

"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening Spirit.  The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second Man is the Lord from heaven" (1 Cor 15:45, 47).
