3. Fundamental Integration -> Atonement -> Greek Scriptures

Atonement-Greek Scriptures

"Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from, that He will not hear" (Isa 59:2).

It will be noted that  (1) many early English translation words that were coined historically by tradition of men have became standard doctrinal nomenclatures by the translators in the Jerome/Wycliffe/Tyndale/all of KJV era, and subsequently, passed to us today; and that (2) each single word of God is not treated as being pure and monadic, with one English word being ascribed to several different Greek words and one Greek word given several English translations, and subsequently, this also is our translation habit today.  God's words are treated, both linquistically and theologically, like any other worldly writings of worldly words (satan's words).
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men , after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Col 2:8).

"And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone , but by every (single) word of God" (Luke 4:4 and Matt 4:4).

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever" (Ps 12:6-7).
These two very significant evil factors stated above have caused (1) great confusion in understanding the Atonement of our "release" from our death-in-sin-separation from our Creator to a "restoration" of righteous fellowship/relationship with Him again; this ignorance destroys today's understanding of the very salvation Gospel of God Himself;  and (2) total chaos in understanding all doctrinal words and even any scripture words today.  Today, we have even gone so far as dynamic "free association" translations of anyone wishing a copyright for profit.  And the deceived ignorant Ecumenicals and most New Age Fundamentalists rush to depend upon them for their eternal salvation and understanding.

Amazingly, the KJV translators wrote a very dull eighteen 8" x11 1/2" pages Presentation Preface to King James in 1611, a small last section of which, however, is very provocative and addressed, "REASONS INDUCING US NOT TO STAND CURIOUSLY UPON AN IDENTITY OF PHRASING."  They wrote:   (from a modernised form, underlining ours)
............."Another thing we think good to admonish thee of (gentle Reader) that we have not tied ourselves to an uniformity of phrasing , or to an identity of words, as some peradventure would wish that we had done, because they observe, that some learned men somewhere, have been as exact as they could that way.  Truly that we might not vary from the sense of that which we had translated before, if the word signified that same in both places (for there be some words that be not the same sense everywhere) we were especially careful, and made a conscience, according to our duty.  But that we should express the same notion in the same particular word........For is the kingdom of God to become words or syllables?  Why should we be in bondage to them if we may be free, use one precisely when we may use another no less fit, as commodiously?" ..............
To say, "Why should we be in bondage to them (the Pure Immutable Monadic specific Words, rhema, of God, the sword of the Spirit, Ephesians 6:17) if we may be free" is little short of demonic rebellion.     Please see the article in Section 3., Hermeneutics, Satan's Specialty, for complete explanation of their type of thinking and our responsibility in interpreting our Lord Jesus Christ's Word.

This is a sad Preface of such distinguished truly God-gifted translators (47 such) as will ever be assembled again on the face of the earth.  Sad Preface indeed.  That the inerrant Eternal original pure Holy specific individual words (rhema) of scripture could be so frivolously handled, as to "suppose" that the sense of a word is consistent as they imagined it, and treat them as not pure monadic words but as any worldly words with multiple meanings, is truly sad.  All in their presumed "freedom" to do so.  And where was their dictionary for such multiple single word meanings in God's Pure Eternal Immutable Monadic (one-of-a-kind) Book, except from their own imaginations as they admit?   "Oh, such Presumption thou art my Eternal enemy!"

[[  The need for staying on subject prevents us from displaying multiple illustrations of their folly, as how that the simple word for "mind", the brain faculty, is given 18 different Greek words translated as "mind" in some instances, and each such Greek word is found to have its own specific God intended meaning as to 18 different nuances of meaning of the use of "mind" by the Holy Spirit in His Word to be inductively discerned comparing Greek scripture to Greek scripture; or how the Greek word commonly known as "to forgive" is translated with 8 different meanings, one being that Christ "cried" out with a loud shout on the cross, and so forth, and additionally that another completely different Greek word is also translated as "to forgive".  Such confusion is without end by following the KJV and all translators' worldly approach, especially the modern apostate translators today who think it is a worldly book of handed down fables.   ]]

It should now be apparent that:
(1)
Dark Ages Calvinism had composed and originated the terminology in all our English scriptures from their earliest translations and today.  Arminianism and Wesleyanism have been hindered for centuries because of being caught in the falsehoods of Calvinist invented words and invented phraseology in all English scriptures to support their traditions of Roman Catholic Augustine (400 AD), continued even in all modern translations.  This has been the great cause that Arminianism and Wesleyanism failed to take their place in the forefront of theological thought in the Christian world, despite the efforts of many fine apologists for the last three centuries.  And from these morally disabled traditions of men have grown the most perverse of all doctrines of the modern Dispensational "grace" regardless infidels today.

The very Word of God has been held in unrighteousness for centuries.  "For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the Truth in unrighteousness" (Rom 1:18).   The Great Whore, the Roman Catholic Church, in unrighteousness has been influencing the very written Word of God for centuries and still is.

The words we take for "Doctrines", specific to be studied like Justification, Sanctification,  and Atonement, are nothing more than invented words by translators of Calvinist backgrounds who took their understanding and uses of doctrinal terms from the Roman Catholics.  Therefore, the heretical and totally apostate terms and concepts associated with Calvinism, originated with the Roman Catholics starting with Origen (184-254 AD) and Augustine (400 AD), and Anselm (@ 1097 AD) have continued in all translations today.   This is the sad legacy of translations to this day, and all child simple understandings of God's words written for little children have been hidden in satan's world system of evil religious traditions of men.

But God is wiser than all and the Holy Spirit still saves all those who will respond to His enlightenment of the child safe scriptures, God written to little children.   And it is all hidden for adults in the pure perfect Word of God, written in Greek for all nations and peoples of all the world.

The actual child-simple understanding of the words become clear with a consistent single translation of each specific Greek word and that so-called "Doctrines" then become nothing more than child-simple "teachings" throughout God's words which cannot be redefined and twisted to fit asserted doctrines from the traditions of men (demons).   Even the Greek word defined as "doctrine" (didaskalia) means "the body of teachings" (1322, didache, teaching)in child-simple Greek scripture of God, not to be misunderstood.

By traditions of men, coining such words that are hard to understand, we have words like justified, the "just", and Justification, and also redeemed, redemption, and Atonement ; and who knows what they mean?   Who knows what "the just shall live by faith" means?  (3x repeated in Rom 1:17, Gal 3:11, and Heb 10:38)   It means "the  righteous shall live by faith."  Child-simple.   Now see article, Faith vs New Age Faith, to see what faith is and when and how we get it.   And we ask, is this a "play righteousness" or an actual righteousness as stated.  Does God play "as if" games.   The Calvinists and the Catholics and the present day "grace" regardless deny that any Holiness and righteousness can be had of any man until after his death, and received into Heaven.  The child simple scriptures teach otherwise.

(2)  Further, in addition to these traditions of men, by using the satanic universal teaching taught in all Bible Schools (Stories, actually) and Seminaries (Cemeteries) of "defining any scripture word meaning by its local verse use in its single local context" has resulted in numerous splits, strivings, and denominations each so justifying its own heretical (self-originating) meanings given to these important single words.

Take for example such single words as baptism, only begotten Son (one word), Atonement, sanctification, justification, baptism of Holy Spirit, remission, on Him, for the remission of sins, to make righteous (one word), conscience, flesh, body, spirit, soul, heart, faith, believe, and on and on throughout the scriptures.  The Calvinists' heretical (self-originating) understanding of just these few words have caused untold divisions and confusion of everything in God's Word.  Why didn't they just translate them as the simple words with one consistent meaning.  Reason; it would NOT have supported the biases of their doctrines and preferred beliefs.

See article, Hermeneutics, for complete explanation. This redefinition of a single Greek scripture word with multiple meanings assigned or then apply a single meaning to multiple Greek words, makes total confusion and at worst a lie made to seem logical.  This results in multiple meanings for each simple monadic Greek word of Holy Scripture and difficulty in understanding child-simple teachings.

Justification or to justify simply refers to being  "to made righteous," right related to Holy God.

Hopefully, the definitions given here of the Greek words, pertaining to this release from our present death in sin to a restoration of righteous standing now with our Father, will provide a clear understanding of the child-simple scriptures, as well as illustrate the obvious existence of the above two evils described.   The KJV renderings of the single Greek words pertaining to Christ's Atonement of us is given here with the bolded English translation given of the single Greek word in each occuring scripture.

It can be seen that, by substituting the one inductively derived single meaning in each instance of often disparate translated English words in the KJV (as described in article, Hermeneutics, how to interpret), complete clarity of meaning is given to all the scrptures.  Simply substitute the meaning given below in italics to each bolded KJV translation of the word in each scripture for clearer understanding.

2433  2x hilaskomai = to be merciful (atonement associated with Mercy being given. not retributive punishment)
Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation (to be merciful) for the sins of the people.
2434  2x hilasmos = Atonement (He Who brings restoration of righteousness of God to us)
1 John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.   (Notice:  Again, it is Christ Himself who becomes the Atonement, not something done to Him by the Father to appease Himself.  Not Anselm's pagan Catholic appeasement theory.  The word "propitiation" implies a "satisfying sacrifice" of appeasement.) 1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins..  (Again, He is "to be" the Atonement, not something done to Him by the Father to appease Himself.  Not Anselm's pagan Catholic appeasment theory. )
2435  2x hilasterion = mercyseat (the place of atonement)
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;    (Notice: It is Christ who is the mercyseat in Himself for us, which is the place of Atonement, not some penal punishment done to Him) Hebrews 9:5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.    (Interesting!  Something here deeper in prophecy?)
2643  4x katallage = reconciliation (in fellowship/relationship with God)
Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (only place in KJV that word "atonement" is used) Romans 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2644  6x katallasso = to reconcile (be At-one-ness--Atonement) to God.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 1 Corinthians 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

3089  43x luo = to remove.    To release for removal does not adequately define; it is a removal in fact.

A few representative scriptures given. Matt 5:19   Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 21:2   Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. Luke 19:33   And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? John 2:19  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 10:35   If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Acts 2:24  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Acts 13:43  Now when the congregation was broken up , many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. Acts 22:30   On the morrow, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them. Eph 2:14   For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 2 Peter 3:12   Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 1 Cor 7:27   Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed (3080, lusis) from a wife? seek not a wife. 1 John 3:8   He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Rev 9:15   And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. Rev 20:7   And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
3083  2x  lutron = release provided    Release from captivity to our sin natures in our flesh natures which our Lord took to His grave in His sinless flesh, so that he could then indwell our cleansed vessels with His Holy Spirit Mind of Christ which is called faith in NT.  So that we may walk by "obedience of faith" thereafter is the theme (in same Greek phrase) of the Book of Romans, stated at beginning and end of the Book of Romans (1:5 and 16:26).

Lutron is translated as ransom in KJV.

Ransom implies a price paid by someone, implying again Catholic monk, Anselm's penal punishment appeasement theory @1097 AD.  A close inductive study of the scriptures indicates that (1) Christ Himself in His voluntary Death to take our flesh nature to the grave and His resurrection Life in us is the Atonement, not something done to punish Him to appease the Father, as in a pagan god concept, taught by Catholics and Calvinists alike; and that (2) it was not a commercial transaction, nor a penal bookkeeping transaction, as of a required price to imply an unconditional transaction completed and thus removing an individual's scriptural need of obedience to Christ's Lordship, again not supported by the entire body of scriptures, but taught by Catholics and Calvinists alike.  Scriptures teach that Christ's atonement completed in us by His indwelling, accomplished His purchase of us out from within (exagorazo) the "world" market place of OT Law keeping and worldly affairs, as His voluntary bondservants, implying the means of both our initial justification (made righteous) and continuing sanctification (being set apart in Living): continually repenting (turning from our way to His) and continually committing to Him and His purposes.    "As (5613, hos, in the same manner) ye have therefore received (indwelling) Christ Jesus the Lord, so (no word in Greek) walk ye in Him" (Col 2:6).1
Matthew 20:28   Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:45   For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
3084  3x  lutroo = to release  (to redeem in KJV)
Luke 24:21 21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. Titus 2:14 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 Peter 1:18-19 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;   But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot
We realize that the word redeem and redemption have been burned into our minds by traditional repetition, but very little inductive (distinguishing differences) details are clarified for understanding by such gross coinage of the word "redeem" or "redemption".  What do the words mean?   Too much confusion and false doctrine is engendered by this historic coinage of often pagan and Gnostic terms having been adopted.

3085  3x  lutrosis = release   (redemption in KJV)
Luke 1:68 68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, Luke 2:38 38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Hebrews 9:12 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
3086  1x  lutrotes = releaser    (deliverer in KJV)
Acts 7:35 35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
487    1x  antilutron = release provided by another (anti = substitute, instead of, and lutron = release)
1 Tim 2:6   Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

See that 3083, lutron, is also translated "ransom" 2x as listed above.
629   10x  apolutrosis = separation release, a release from "your sins have separated between you and your God," Isa 59:2; "dead in tresspasses and sins," Eph 2:1.    [Redemption in KJV is 3085 (lutrosis) which is "release".  But apo-separation, and lutrosis-release by His Death takes us to beyond release-- to restoration, or separation release of resurrection Life of righteousness of God.]
Luke 21:28   And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Romans 3:24   Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 8:23   And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

1 Corinthians 1:30   But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Ephesians 1:7   In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:14   Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 4:30   And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Colossians 1:14   In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: ***  Hebrews 9:15   And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament (KJV "freedom" translation of covenant, same Greek word), that (hopos- how that, explanatory clause) by means of (actually, He became, ginomai- to become, by his own action, aorist middle participle) of Death (genitive for participle), for (eis--for result or purpose of)  of the (the, not in Greek) redemption (apolutrosis- beyond separation release, restoration) from (ablative genitive) the transgressions that were (added "that were", not in the Greek) under (actually, epi-concerning) the first testament (covenant), of those which are now being called (2564, kaleo- to call outwardly to designate, perfect passive-- by another to them --participle, not internal, broadest possible general call, with 5 other forms of specific inward calls in Greek) might receive (2983, lambano-- to receive, aorist active--by their own volition, subjunctive-possibility of "might or may") the promise of eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 11:35   Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

1805  4x  exagorazo = to purchase out from    Agora is marketplaceAgorazo is to purchaseEx is out from within.

Galatians 3:13   Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Galatians 4:5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Ephesians 5:16   Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Colossians 4:5   Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Look at the loose use of even the coined term "redeem", being used with 4 different disparate Greek words here, as you examine all its occurrences in the above listing of scriptures for the Greek words.  No wonder there is confusion and lack of understanding of scriptures.  There is no child-simple endeavor to distinguish differences, as a little child must to learn anything.  We must remember, "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein" (Luke 18:17).

859   17x   aphesis = removal (of sin nature and sins by Christ's vicarious Death in His flesh nature and shed Blood taking our sin flesh nature and sins to His grave, explaining the immersion symbolism of believer's confession in baptism).  Also, baptism symbolizes that Christ "removed" our separation (death) in trespasses and sins (Rom 6:23) in His Death, and gave us a new righteous resurrection Life of Himself in us NOW, as we rise out of the water. This is supposed to be our first such public testimony to our Lord Jesus.

[[[   Notice the diverse and erroneous translation of "forgiveness" given below, as well as the vague "remission" of sins, implying a future "in fact" removal when in Heaven as according to the continuing "sinning Christian" of Calvinist teachings.  Calvinist translators believed in simply an overlooking "as if righteous" of a continued present sinning as acceptable to our Holy Father God by some fictitious decree of His,  until He takes a few of such Elect sinners to Heaven to only then have their sin nature and sins removed.   Calvinist's reject that we in fact are "righteous" by virtue of Christ's indwelling in us as "Holy" brethern, in fact made Holy and righteousness of God in Christ NOW.  And deny that it is by this indwelling righteousness of Christ that we are equipped, empowered, and also responsible to live obediently to our Lord by His indwelling faith, Mind of Christ, in us.

Luther forcibly taught that our righteousness was totally external to us, and that if someone wanted to be led by the Holy spirit then they need only read the Bible to see what the Holy Spirit said.  Calvin likewise taught an external foreign righteousness, not in any way by Christ in us or in any other manner.  To them, being 'born-again" simply represented a forensic bookkeeping imputation of our future righteousness in Heaven, reserved for us after we die as one of the inscrutably Elected ones.  ]]]

Matthew 26:28    For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Mark 1:4
John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.   Mark 3:29    But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Luke 1:77   To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Luke 3:3    And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

Luke 4:18    The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 24:47    And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 2:38   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 5:31   Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 10:43    To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Acts 13:38    Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Acts 26:18    To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Ephesians 1:7    In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Colossians 1:14    In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Hebrews 9:22    And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Hebrews 10:18    Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

863   149x  aphiemi = to dismiss (from attention)

Here we have another typical example of the way one Greek word relating to our Atonement is chaotically translated surely without any "attention to the sense" of the word as the KJV translators stated occured in all the words so translated.  It is variously translated as to suffer, to leave, to allow, to forgive, to leave alone, to forsake, to omit, to let, when they had been sent away, to let alone, to cry (with a loud voice), and to remit.  Here are only a few examples.

John 8:29  And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him

John 11:48  If we let him thus alone , all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation

John 20:23  Whose soever sins ye remit , they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Mark 4:36   And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

Rom 1:27  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men

Matt 6:12-15   And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

James 5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him

Luke 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Luke 7:49   And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

Luke 11:42   But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone

Matt 6:15  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matt 15:14   Let them alone : they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Mark 15:37   And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. (See Jn 10:18, "No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.  Yes, He DISMISSED Himself from the cross>)

Mark 7:8   For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

Notice, from looking through this listing of each of the Greek words in this article and their inductively derived single meanings for the original Greek words used by God, you can now see the chaos and lack of clear understanding by translating completely different Greek words with the same meaning or the same Greek word with many different meanings.  Obviously, this is not good hermeneutics for absolute Truth.  But it faithfully served the Calvinist translators of the KJV and now our modern Ecumenicals and apostates today who make even more imaginative and wider variations in the "sense of the words", as they imagine.

See article, Hermeneutics, in Section 3, Fundamental Integration, for discerning the single meaning for every Greek word in New Testament.  This article also explains the HOW and WHY every Greek word has only one meaning in God's Holy Word.

For more words so closely associated with our Atonement by our Lord for us in the scriptures, and for a detailed exegesis of the words relating to our resulting righteousness provided by the atonement, Malcolm Lavender's writings on this vital subject are superb--to the consternation of most everyone in so called-Christian circles today.  Also, purchase his superb scholarly books and the detailed book, He Offered Himself or Priestly-Sacrificial Atonement, A  Recovery of Apostolic Atonement at his website.  Be sure to get his upcoming Book, Greek Grammar and Syntx versus Calvinism, over 650 pages.
